Electrocoagulation

Electrocoagulation

What is it

The procedure is a proven, highly effective method of removing skin lesions, using the flow of electric current of various strength. The electrocoagulation device is a high-class modern lancetron, the strength of which and the type of cutting and coagulation are each time individually adjusted by the doctor, depending on the type of treatment.

Indications

Fibromas, seborrheic warts, small viral warts (so-called "verruca"), flat warts. Cracked blood vessels on the face and body.

How it works

The method consists in cutting out or coagulating lesions. As a result of the contact of the appropriate tip with the tissue, it coagulates (proteins are cut). The needle method is very effective in the case of small vessels and numerous scattered angiomas. Appropriate surgical tips (balls, knives) are used to remove larger skin lesions.

Procedure

After qualifying the patient for the procedure, the doctor removes the lesion with a specially selected tip. In case of larger lesions, an injection with an anesthetic is used. After the treatment, a soothing cream is applied to the skin to accelerate regeneration. The duration of the procedure depends on the number and size of the lesions to be removed and lasts from 10 to 30 minutes.

Recommendations after examination

Scabs are visible for several days. In the event of major changes, the procedure may need to be repeated. It may take a few to several days for the treatment site to heal completely. During this time, you should avoid swimming in the pool and sunbathing (also in the solarium).

Contraindications

Neoplastic disease, implanted pacemaker, inflammatory lesions of the skin in the treated areas.
