Lip Augmentation

Lip Augmentation

Preparations with cross-linked HYALURONIC ACID of appropriate density are used to correct the shape and restore hydration and volume of the lips. It stimulates the production of our own hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin, which moisturizes, fills and prevents the aging of the lips.

Indications

Lip asymmetry, loss of volume, small lips, loss of lip hydration, drooping mouth corners, wrinkles around the mouth, the so-called "smoker’s".

Procedure

The treatment involves the precise introduction of a carefully selected preparation of hyaluronic acid with a thin needle, which allows for obtaining natural, firm lips. It also provides long-lasting hydration. It lasts from 20 to 30 minutes. Depending on your needs, you can fill only the upper or lower lip, only the corners and the entire mouth. The amount and type of preparation is always selected individually for each patient, after prior consultation. It is also very important to determine the injection sites correctly and accurately by the doctor and to provide the correct volume of the preparation, as well as the selection of the preparation with the appropriate density.

Is the procedure painful

Before the procedure, superficial anesthesia with a special cream or dental anesthesia is used - with the injection of an anesthetic into the infiltrating gums. The type of anesthesia is selected individually.

Effects

The effect is visible immediately after the treatment and increases gradually, which is related to the binding of water by hyaluronic acid. The final result is achieved after 10-14 days. The moisturizing effect lasts 6-12 months, the filling effect, depending on the density of the preparation used, from 8 to 18 months. The effect also depends on the age, condition and state of the skin, lifestyle and general health.

Recommendations after injection

Immediately after the injection, for 12 hours after the procedure, do not warm up (sun, tanning beds), avoid drinking hot drinks, as this may lead to the distribution of the preparation and thus reduce the effect. Makeup should also be avoided in order not to increase the risk of infection after punctures. Do not apply pressure to the puncture sites. Avoid strenuous exercise. Keep at least a 2-week interval between the next aesthetic or cosmetic treatment (including massage).

Side Effects

The puncture marks are almost invisible after 1-2 hours, although the possibility of a bruise can never be ruled out. Very rare reactions at the site of application have been reported. Most of them are symptoms of moderate severity, the most common are pain and slight swelling at the injection site. These ailments are temporary and short-lived. If there are lumps or lumps at the injection site, consult your doctor for additional massage.
