Elbows

Elbows

The most common aesthetic problems

Loss of firmness, skin sagging, roughness, discoloration, peeling of the skin

The reasons

With age, the skin on the elbows loses its firmness, becomes slack and dry. This is due to loss of subcutaneous fat and reduction in the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid by skin cells. In addition, dry skin on the elbows may be the result of genetic predisposition as well as a symptom of diseases such as atopic dermatitis, hypothyroidism, psoriasis or diabetes.

The skin on the elbows is practically deprived of sebaceous glands, so it should be properly cared for. Proper diet and fluid consumption are also important.

The most important thing is to exclude disease causes, remove discoloration, restore skin elasticity and moisturize it.
