Forehead Wrinkles

Forehead Wrinkles

The reasons

Facial wrinkles are greatly influenced by repetitive facial movements associated with work of the muscles. Forehead wrinkles are among the most noticeable. Most often they are just mimic. Their origin is related, in addition to the factors mentioned above, mainly to the strong work of the frontal muscles. They appear in the form of horizontal lines across the forehead, single or double furrows between the eyebrows, the so-called "lion's wrinkle".

Over time, the appearance and properties of our skin change. The formation of wrinkles is influenced by many factors. There are two types of skin aging: physiological aging, related to our genes, hormone changes (biological age) and environmental aging - conditioned by external factors (photoaging).

With age, atrophic processes dominate the skin. Skin becomes sagging and dry. The skin cells' production of collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid and lipids, the basic substances responsible for proper hydration, elasticity and firmness of the skin, decrease.
